San Juan Mountains west of Ridgeway, Colorado.
Near the Ralph Lauren Double RL Ranch

At times we just stopped and marveled at the fantastic mountain
				views.

 | There seemed to be a photo-op around every corner.

Colorado Road 145 south of Telluride.
This beautiful lake is nestled between surrounding mountains.

Reportedly the mining town which is now Telluride was a pretty rough
mining town in early years.  Drinking, gambling, carousing,
fistfights and gunfights were daily occurrences.

 A preacher found
his way into this raw western town but was unable to make any headway
with it's unholy citizenry.  The preacher eventually gave up and as
a warning to newcomers posted a sign on the road into town:

 Warning
 "To Hell You Ride"

Thus the town got it's name:  Telluride

Storm Creek RV Park, Cafe, Store and Cocktails
 This cafe caught our
attention as we rode down State Road 145 south of
        Telluride.
We stopped for pie and coffee on the deck.

As we sat enjoying the scenery and the food, humming birds circled our
heads and fed from the feeders hung around us on the deck.

It doesn't get a lot better than this.
Riding Harleys over twisty mountain roads, beautiful weather.
fantastic scenery, and great pie and coffee.
(Well, great pie and hot tea for Roe.)

 | Uh Roe, you might be parked in the highway!
Never mind, there is no traffic to be seen.

		| We were looking for US Highway 666 to Utah but never found it. Perhaps this is why.
